At DG Medical Aesthetics, we offer the Alma Harmony XL Pro — one of the most clinically advanced multi-application laser platforms available in aesthetic medicine — from our CQC-registered, nurse-led clinic in Yardley, Birmingham, just 15–20 minutes from Solihull. The Alma Harmony is not a single laser; it is a complete treatment system with interchangeable handpieces, allowing our registered nurses to address a wide range of skin concerns in one clinical setting. From skin laxity and deep resurfacing to pigmentation, redness, active acne, and vascular blemishes, we use the most appropriate modality for each patient's individual presentation — often combining multiple handpieces within a single session. Every treatment begins with a thorough one-to-one consultation and skin assessment, and is carried out exclusively by Donna Gibson and Kerry Gibson-Harris, our registered nurses with over 25 years of combined NHS and aesthetic medicine experience.
The power of the Alma Harmony is its versatility. By simply changing the specialist handpiece, we can move from treating deep-skin laxity to superficial redness in the same session. This allows us to create a 'stacked' or combination treatment plan that is 100% tailored to you. Our main Alma Harmony treatments include:
This is one of the most popular non-invasive treatments available. ClearLift is a non-ablative laser that works deep beneath the skin's surface, creating tiny, controlled thermal injuries without harming the top layer. This process stimulates a powerful collagen-building response, making it one of the best treatments for skin laxity, fine lines, and sagging. It's gentle enough for delicate areas like the neck and around the eyes, and best of all, it has zero downtime.
ClearLift is particularly well suited to patients with Fitzpatrick skin types I–IV and is one of the few laser treatments appropriate for use around the eyes, on the neck, and on the décolletage. A course of four to six sessions is typically recommended, spaced three to four weeks apart. Patients often describe seeing progressive improvement in skin firmness and texture across the course, with results continuing to develop for up to three months after the final session as new collagen matures.
ClearLift is also an effective first-stage treatment for patients who are not yet ready for more intensive resurfacing — offering measurable improvement without committing to any downtime.
Unwanted vascular blemishes, like spider veins on the face, thread veins around the nose, or cherry angiomas, are a common concern. As part of our advanced Alma Harmony platform, the VascuPen™ is an innovative and precise tool designed to treat these superficial vascular lesions safely and effectively. Its unique pen-shaped design and adjustable spot size give our nurse practitioners the ultimate control to target even the most delicate areas.
The VascuPen™'s precision makes it the gold standard for treating small, superficial vascular issues, especially on the face and neck.
The VascuPen™ is suitable for treating thread veins and spider naevi on the face, neck, and décolletage, as well as cherry angiomas and other superficial vascular lesions. Most patients see significant improvement in one to two sessions. Because the tip contacts the skin directly, it offers a level of precision that broader vascular laser handpieces cannot match — making it particularly effective for small, isolated lesions around the nose and on the cheeks.
The Dye-VL module is our solution for achieving a clear, even-toned complexion. It uses a narrow band of light to precisely target and break down unwanted pigment (melanin) in sun spots and vascular lesions (like redness, rosacea, and thread veins). The light energy is absorbed by the target, which is then naturally cleared by the body, all while leaving the surrounding healthy skin untouched.
Dye-VL is highly effective for patients with rosacea, post-inflammatory redness, sun damage, and mixed pigmentation and vascular presentations — which are common in perimenopausal and menopausal patients whose skin has become reactive and uneven in tone. A course of three to five sessions is typical, with results visible from the second session onward.
Because Dye-VL targets chromophores selectively, it does not cause the broad thermal damage associated with older IPL technology. This makes it a significantly safer option for skin that has become thin or sensitive.
For those with more advanced texture concerns or scarring, the SupErb™ is our powerful skin resurfacing solution. It utilises advanced iPixel laser technology to create microscopic channels in the skin ('fractional ablation'). This removes the damaged outer layer and, more importantly, triggers a deep healing and remodelling response. Because the SupErb™ treats the skin in a fractional pattern, healing is dramatically faster than traditional resurfacing lasers. The result is smoother, fresher, and completely renewed skin.
The SupErb™ is our most intensive resurfacing option and is suited to patients with established textural concerns, deeper scarring, or significant sun damage. Because it treats the skin in a fractional pattern — creating controlled micro-channels while leaving intervening tissue intact — healing is considerably faster than traditional fully-ablative laser resurfacing.
Downtime is typically five to seven days of visible redness and peeling, followed by progressive improvement over four to six weeks. A course of two to three sessions is standard for more significant concerns, with a single session appropriate for maintenance or for patients with mild texture irregularity.
A patch test and full skin assessment is required before SupErb™ treatment.
ClearSkin is a breakthrough treatment for active acne. It combines a non-ablative laser with simultaneous contact cooling and a vacuum mechanism. The laser penetrates the skin to target the p.acnes bacteria and reduce inflammation, while the vacuum helps to clear impurities. It's a gentle, safe, and effective solution for managing breakouts and improving skin health.
ClearSkin is suitable for patients experiencing active inflammatory acne, including adult hormonal acne — a common presentation in women in their 30s and 40s, including during perimenopause. Because the treatment targets the bacteria responsible for acne without harsh topical agents, it is appropriate for patients whose skin is too sensitised or reactive to tolerate conventional acne treatments.
A course of four to six sessions is typically recommended, at two-week intervals, alongside a clinical skincare review.
The Alma Harmony platform is suitable for a wide range of patients, but a thorough pre-treatment assessment is essential. During your consultation, we will assess your skin type, current skin condition, any medications, sun exposure history, and your specific concerns. This determines which modalities are appropriate and what course structure will produce the best outcome for you.

Not currently suitable if you:
We are transparent about suitability at consultation. If Alma Harmony is not the right option for you, we will tell you and explain why.

A: It depends on the treatment and your individual skin. ClearLift is typically four to six sessions; Dye-VL three to five; SupErb™ one to three; ClearSkin four to six; VascuPen one to two. We give you a realistic session estimate at your consultation.
A: ClearLift and VascuPen have no meaningful downtime — redness settles within a few hours. Dye-VL may cause mild redness and some darkening of pigmented lesions (which then shed naturally) over five to seven days. SupErb™ involves five to seven days of visible peeling and redness. ClearSkin has minimal downtime.
A: ClearLift and Dye-VL are well tolerated without anaesthetic by most patients. SupErb™ and ClearSkin use topical anaesthetic cream. VascuPen involves brief, localised discomfort at the treatment site.
A: Yes — the Alma Harmony's interchangeable handpiece system means we can address multiple concerns in a single session. For example, ClearLift for laxity and Dye-VL for pigmentation can be performed together.
A: Certain Alma Harmony modalities require careful assessment for Fitzpatrick skin types V and VI. We assess skin type at your consultation and will only proceed with treatments appropriate for your skin. We will not proceed with any treatment where there is a safety concern.
A: The Alma Harmony XL Pro is a multi-application medical-grade platform used in clinical and hospital settings globally. Unlike single-function devices, it allows combination treatment in a single session and covers a broader range of concerns. As a CQC-registered clinic, we use only medical-grade equipment operated by registered nurses — not beauty-grade devices operated by non-clinical staff.
