Lip filler is one of the most requested treatments in aesthetics, and one of the most frequently done badly. The results that generate concern, overfilled, uneven, or trend-chasing lips that bear no resemblance to the patient's natural anatomy, are almost always a product of poor clinical technique, excessive product volume, or insufficient understanding of lip structure.
At DG Medical Aesthetics, our approach is the opposite of all of those things. We offer lip filler from our CQC-registered, nurse-led clinic in Yardley, Birmingham, just 15 to 20 minutes from Solihull town centre via the A45 Coventry Road. Every treatment is assessed and administered by Donna Gibson and Kerry Gibson-Harris, registered nurses with over 25 years of combined NHS and advanced aesthetic clinical experience. We do not carry out same-day lip filler on new patients, and we do not place more product than your anatomy can support naturally.

Every lip assessment begins with an evaluation of your existing lip shape, your facial proportions, and the balance of your lips within your whole face. We do not look at trends. We look at you.
We restore before we add
Many patients want their lips back. Volume loss begins in the mid-twenties. The border softens and definition is lost. Filler placed with this in mind produces results that look entirely natural.
We use conservative volumes
We recommend starting with 0.5 to 0.75ml for first-time patients, reviewing at two weeks, and adding conservatively. We never place the full syringe if the anatomy doesn't call for it.
We use fine-bore cannulas where appropriate
Cannula technique significantly reduces bruising and swelling compared to needle placement in the body of the lip. For many patients, this also means less discomfort during the procedure.

Downtime
Redness and swelling common for 24-48 hours. Bruising typically resolves in 3-7 days.
Follow-Up
Mandatory two-week review included. We only add volume at this stage if appropriate.
